Is President Obama turning a “Pants on Fire” Lie into a True Statement?

President Obama is about to reach his goal of admitting 10,000 Syrian Refugees by the end of September. Under his tutelage, the number of Muslims in the U.S. has grown dramatically. This raises the question of whether the President is using U.S. Immigration policy to convert one of his “pants on fire” lies into a true statement. Clearly, the face of American has changed dramatically over the past 8 years. Do you remember this eyebrow raising statement? Who would have guessed we would be having so many discussions about Sharia law, female genital mutilation, and Islamic terrorism on American soil?

Below is what the President said:

“If you actually took the number of Muslims [sic] Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.”

“In the days leading up to his trip to Cairo to give a long-awaited speech before a large Muslim audience, President Barack Obama gave several radio and television interviews, including one in which he claimed that the United States has so many Muslim residents that it would qualify as one of the largest populations in the world.

“If you actually took the number of Muslims Americans (sic), we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” he told French television station Canal Plus.”
