Stand and Fight!: A Christian Call to Arms

It’s the New Year and I think it’s time for a political rant as I ponder some issues related to the Christian faith in our nation. However, I believe logic may disqualify the rant and instead render it as sound critical thinking. The latter of which seems to be absent in many college classrooms.

..

The Liberals have gained much ground in their war against Christianity.  Christian prayers have been expelled from public schools, Nativity scenes vanquished from the court house square, Christian bakers forced into a court of law to fight for their religious rights regarding serving a gay wedding, Merry Christmas being replaced by some generic greeting and the list could go on and on.

..

If the Liberals want to make it a war, let’s make it a real war.  It is time for us Christians to fight back.  The Libs relish the concept of Separation of Church and State, which they say has its roots in the Constitution when such is absolutely false. But let’s just play their “Separation of Church and State game.” In the concept of Separation of Church and State, no religion is to gain any favor from the state, be it the Federal government or the local public school district.

..

As Christians, we need to demand that cities and towns with names related to the Christian faith be changed. Any city or town named after a saint or other reference to the Christian faith is showing favor.  Cities like San Francisco (St. Francis), San Diego (St James) Los Angeles, St Louis, St Paul and many more should have to changed their names. If Separation of Church and State is the real deal, then why are Christian saints honored in name by a metro government that sets policies that are adverse to the practice of that faith in the public arena?

..

Some cities like San Francisco would argue that their name was in place before the Constitution was ratified. It would seem that the last 40 years would have been ample time to phase in a new name.  What about St. Paul, MN? It did not take its name until 1841 which was well after the 1787 date when the Constitution became the law of the land. If Separation of Church and State was the original intent of the Framers, surely someone would have protested the name given to Minnesota’s capital city. The fact is that no one did, because Separation of Church and State was not considered in play, and this incident is proof of the liberal scam the Left seeks to place on the nation.

..

Until our religious liberties are restored and God is once again welcome in our schools and on the public square, we should demand the name changes.  It will hit these cities in the pocketbook.  It will cost some cities millions to change their name.  San Francisco would have to change all business cards, stationary, web pages, city logos, vehicle lettering on all city cars and trucks, city limit signs and many other signs. The city would face great expense and deservingly so.  At least the Golden State Warriors would not be affected, but the Giants and 49ers would not be so fortunate.

..

If government cannot show favor to a religion then why do government workers get Christmas day off and in many cases Good Friday? Government offices should be open on Christmas day if indeed Separation of Church and State is to be followed. Government employees should be required to take a personal or a vacation day. Offices should be manned by Jewish, Islamic or atheist employees on Christmas Day. The public should have the opportunity to be confronted with incompetency from a bureaucrat on Christmas Day like he or she would experience on any other day when offices are open.

..

Our original government and its guiding principles were established on the Judeo-Christian values. There is no reason our government on every level should not be allowed to convey this unique fact while still maintaining proper tolerance to those who practice other faiths or none at all. Is not all that is stated here based on sound logic? Then it’s time for the “City by the Bay” to be known by some other name and the same would be true for other municipalities. And, if you want to beat the rush at the DMV, you should be able to pop in and be served at their offices on Christmas Day.
