Can They Sink Any Lower?: Hate on Steroids and the Desecration of Confederate Grave Sites

Pictures are worth a million words. They capture a reality words often miss. If you wonder about hate in the world, there’s plenty to go around. Hatred is not confined to any one racial group. Fair is fair and wrong is wrong. Members of the controversial Council of Conservative Citizens are justifiably upset about the desecration of Confederate grave sites and monuments, as depicted in this series of photos. Vandals are leaving behind the “Black Lives Matter” calling card of their signature graffiti.

Folks, this is sheer madness. By desecrating graves and disrespecting other people’s private property, these activists undermine their own cause; they create new enemies from the ranks of southern whites who previously have been sympathetic to their cause. As one prominent white southern icon was known to say, “Stupid is as stupid does.”
