Workplace Violence or Acts of Jihadist Terrorism?: We All Know the Difference

We all know what workplace violence is or at least we thought we did. Some disgruntled usually former employee would gun down numerous people at their former place of employment.

Well that’s what it used to be.

Seems that in recent years the term “workplace violence” has been used as a term to aid the Obama administration so as to not have to call radical Islamic Terrorism what it actually is. Labeling incidents as acts of workplace violence tell us that the Obama administration’s handling of homeland security has been a success; call it terrorism and the record doesn’t look quite so good.

Enter two events of so called workplace violence which when looked at with an ounce of common sense are acts of domestic terrorism. According to eyewitnesses, on November 5th, 2009 Fort Hood shooter, Major Nidal Hasan yelled “Allahu Akbar” or God is great before he shot his victims and now he wants to join ISIS.

Now in Moore, Oklahoma, Alton Nolen; a recent convert to Islam beheaded a coworker he had unsuccessfully attempted to convert to Islam. Both acts labeled as workplace violence. If “We the People” soon don’t force our government to label these acts as the terrorist acts they are, we will continue to live in blissful, dangerous ignorance leaving our nation open to dozens of these attacks perhaps in your neighborhood.
