Tyranny by Default
This Election of 2016 is proving to be very revealing. It is giving insight to the real goals of the two political parties, to the character of the mainstream media and to the aptitude of the electorate. One thing Trump’s candidacy has done is shine the light on the ugly underground of our political landscape. He ran as an outsider from the normal political structure from day one, and by doing so, revealed some disturbing realities. We have a camouflage ruling class made up of elites who reside in both parties. He is a threat to them and their self-serving practices.
Hillary Clinton is the most corrupt presidential candidate ever to run for the office that her husband disgraced with his sexual antics in the 90s. The destroyed emails and the questions surrounding the Clinton Foundation would have disqualified most candidates regardless of party in years past. It should alarm us all that this has not happened. She shows her tax returns and we learn that the million dollars she gave to charity was 96% to her own Clinton Foundation from which she draws cash for travel and other expenses. How many of us have foundations which we can use as a tax shelter and have expenses covered by it? The Obama Administration has been a parade of scandals, Fast and Ferrous, the IRS, Benghazi, payment for hostages and then there is that “Obamacare” thing. As Democrats have run cities and states, we have seen office holders get rich and the entities they ran become engulfed in debt. Their tax and spend policies have not worked except for getting them elected.
In 1992, the Republicans won the House because of major corruption by the Democrats in connection with the House Banking Scandal. Now it seems that corruption does not matter. At least it does not matter to the mainstream media. They have joined in the corruption to protect democrats and Hillary. They attack Trump on any line he says that can be tied to some controversy, but don’t even report on similar stories related to Hillary that indicate corruption and carelessness with national security secrets. When corruption protects corruption, you have the makings of tyranny. The media has no integrity. The president is to be elected by the people, not put into office by the biased manipulation of the media
Why are most voters not outraged by what is happening? Our country was founded mostly by Europeans seeking a better life. They wanted to be free to worship as they chose. They wanted to have economic growth opportunities that could be passed on to their children. In their old countries, they were trapped in a feudal system that divided into a ruling class and peasant hood. Whichever level you were born in, you stayed there. As a peasant, you worked to create wealth for the lord of the land on which you worked. The chances of improving your station in life were slim to none, until the new world became a possibility. Many chanced the voyaged in rickety ships to get to America and carve out a new life on their own land as freemen. When that freedom was threatened by the reach of tyranny’s hand across an ocean, the descendants of those first freedom seekers took their own guns and joined an army to rebel and the United States of America was born.
Today, the policies and ideology of the Democrat Party seek to establish a new feudal system as it intends to make more people dependent on a big government. As more and more people accept this dependency, they are inclined to tolerate the corruption of their leaders just as the peasants of old were force to do. When this is combined with the reluctances of the Republican Party to resist when it is given control of Congress, the chance of governmental tyranny is further enhanced. The present day philosophy of the Democrat Party is closer to that of King George than that held by our founders. No wonder the Dems don’t like that Second Amendment.
If we the people fall for the deceptions of progressive liberals known as Democrats, which are echoed by a corrupt media and elect Hillary Clinton president, we will establish tyranny by default. The reason for this is because every future election will likely go the same way benefiting whoever the democrat candidate is. In 2016, I would like to see us elect Donald Trump as President instead of Hillary Clinton as Queen. Thomas Jefferson said, “The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield, and government to gain ground.”1 This has inspired the statement by many, “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.”
This campaign has proven that Hillary is a liar as more information about her emails has been exposed. If we have a financial crisis like that of Greece, and President Hillary says, “Don’t panic your money is safe in the banks.” Would she lie to you if it suited her purpose? A few days later you go to withdraw your money and you are not allowed to take it all out. One democrat president lied to us about keeping our doctor. Would one lie to us about keeping our money? I don’t want to take that chance. This election is not just between a Democrat and a Republican, but between tyranny and keeping our republic as the founders established it.
