Baltimore-riots

Giving people space to destroy is an idiotic solution to urban unrest. What these protesting groups need is space to create constructive solutions to societal problems. We must refrain from making excuses for black violence and mayhem, which only enables the harebrained. The foolishness we witnessed during urban protests in Baltimore, Ferguson, and other cities will cease when authorities impose severe penalties on those who take opportunistic advantage of community tragedies.

We can improve the situation, and perhaps bring about law and order, by holding those who fan the flames of unrest financially and personally responsible for crowd actions. Let’s start by identifying and throwing the books at the traveling bands of outside agitators, often steeped in Marxism, who seek to destroy local communities as a means of scoring political points. Rioters must not be coddled or even applauded; they should arrested and punished for their illegal acts.

If police are not going to police, then the agents of law enforcement must come from local people, fed up with the foolishness. They need to organize peace-keepers, charged with protecting local communities from hooligans, known and unknown. If black Americans are to be truly equal, they must be held to the same standards imposed on other groups reacting to similar situations. To this end, violence and vandalism are never acceptable forms of protest in a civilized society. I’m just saying. . .I am sick and tired of this foolishness and what I see as a regression in black America.
