Swain, professor of political science and professor of law at Vanderbilt University, is an award-winning author and a widely recognized expert on race relations, immigration and evangelical politics. She has authored or co-authored seven books. Dr. Swain’s books include Black Face, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress, Be the People: A Call to Reclaim America’s Faith and Promise, Debating Immigration, and Who’s Stealing Our Kids?: Revealing the Hidden Agenda to Secularize our Children. Her op-eds have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, and USA Today. Dr. Swain has appeared on thousands of national, local, and international radio and television shows. She is the founding director of the Carol Swain Foundation and has served on the advisory board of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
